Dr. Cohen was born in Houston, Texas, and grew up in Virginia and Missouri before spending the last 9 years in Fort Collins, Colorado.
She earned her undergraduate degree in Biomedical Sciences, her Masters degree in Biomedical Science (focus on animal anatomy and physiology), and her Degree in Veterinary Medicine at Colorado State University. Interestingly, she also did one semester studying abroad at the University of Glasgow in Glasgow, Scotland as a theatre major.
Dr. Cohen has a strong passion for small animal anesthesia and loves tailoring her anesthetic protocols to each individual patient to give each animal the best experience. Her other interests include pain management, lameness, the human-animal bond, client communication, and building relationships with the humans and animals she works with.
Her hobbies include horseback riding, summer camp, and traveling. She has returned to the Houston area to be closer to her family. She currently has two horses, Roanie and Frenchy, a calico cat named Mia, a maltipoo named Piper, and a Quaker parrot named Jezebel.
